Permit
Below are the regulations governing visitation of the Pinnacles Development.
Remember these are for your safety. So please read the below regulations
carefully. Permits are issued at Pinnacles Hydro-Station or call (276)-251-5141.

Visitors are admitted to the property at their own risk and hazard. Visitors
agree to hold the City of Danville harmless for any injuries, death, or
loss of property.

Admittance to the property will be permitted only at times when an employee
of the Dept. is in attendance unless permission is granted. These hours
are limited to 8:00 A.M. -5:00 P.M.

No fires shall be permitted and extreme caution shall be exerted to extinguish
all cigarette butts and matches.

Instructions of the representatives of the Dept. of Power & Light must
be followed.

Visitors shall refrain from leaving any litter whatsoever on City of Danville
property.

Visitors shall close and lock any gates unlocked and opened by the visitor.

No alcohol or drugs permitted.

No swimming, hunting, firearms, fireworks or dogs permitted.

Only small boats that can be hand carried to the water should be taken
beyond the gate. Boat motors should not exceed 5 HP.

If the parking area at a dam is full, visitors are expected to leave their
vehicles outside the gate.

Please note that the parking areas at both dams are small, and the access
roads are narrow and winding with a vertical rock wall on one side. Vehicles
large than a pickup or short body motor home may have difficulty negotiating
these access roads.

Pedestrian traffic only off of paved roadways, i.e., no bicycles, motorbikes
or all terrain vehicles (ATV's), etc.
