Pinnacles Hydro-Electric Station
Recreation
The Project offers a number of recreational opportunities: lake fishing
in Townes and Talbott reserviors; river fishing below Power Plant; hiking
and sightseeing. Canoeing - under normal conditions, one white water boating
release will be provided below Pinnacles Powerhouse each weekend during
July through October. Annually the "Kibler Valley River Run" is sponsored
by the Red Bank Ruritan Club of Claudville, Virginia. This event attracts
canoeist from throughout the region.
