RED CROSS CLUB:

There are many things that the Greater New River Valley Chapter is doing for the youth of the area. To get involved, send an email, or call the office at 639-2410.

The American Red Cross Club at Radford University began in 2002 with over 50 volunteer students each year contributing their time to local efforts in collecting blood, providing disaster relief training, and serving the university and community with leadership and Red Cross programs and services.

During the relief efforts for the 2005 Hurricanes season, RU Red Cross Club members were active in serving as an umbrella agency to help other students, faculty, staff and organizations to channel their care and concern into relief for those in need.

In the past, the club has been involved in the Measles Initiative for African children and education relief in Haiti. Both locally and around the world, the club members are finding ways to fulfill the Red Cross mission.
