| Due to major remodeling projects we won't be open for any retreats until further notice. We appreciate your interest in Hawk's Ridge Retreat and hope you will check back with us in the spring of 2008. We should have a re-opening date and revised list of offerings at that time. |

![]() | It is rich in natural beauty on 77 acres nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Floyd County, Virginia. Laurel Branch Creek runs through the property and there are miles of trails for hiking and bird-watching.
In keeping with its purpose as a center for environmental, emotional and spiritual education, we sponsor field trips and provide a space for individual retreats. It is a space used by individuals and groups, children as well as adults. We provide environmental education programs for children through our collaborative efforts with the SEEDS organization from Blacksburg, Virginia. Programs for children are an important part of our work, since it has been proven that outdoor experiences early in life foster environmental values and love of nature that last throughout life. We are operating in accordance with the Bed and Breakfast exemption of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Health, Health Statutes. |
| "Dear Owner of Hawk's Ridge, Your nature sanctuary is beautiful and I am very grateful that you let the SEEDS guys take us there. The hills might have been steep, the creek might have been cold, the grass soft but it was truly beautiful. I love nature, animals, and the scenery. The world is a beautiful place, just like Hawk's Ridge.
